Personally, I’m not much into photos of myself, but I decided this year to try and do as many of the Weekly Photo Challenges as possible. My goal is to not miss consecutive weeks, if at all possible.
This was a photo I snapped using a tripod and the remote shooting app on my phone. I had a morning to kill in the middle of my trip to Kyoto, and decided to wander through the Arashiyama bamboo grove. Unfortunately the light was terrible, and coming off of a fairly dry summer, the bamboo stalks weren’t as brilliantly emerald as I had hoped. I shot a few photos, but for the most part I decided to merely enjoy a quiet walk through the trees, listening to some soft, meditative music.
